Wonderland Nights: White Rabbit’s Diary takes place after Alice has left wonderland meaning that a new Queen of Hearts has taken over. You play as the White Rabbit, who is the assistant to the Queen of Hearts on the day that the other three house of cards representatives come to discuss matter of importance. With events taking place over four days, you have to help and manage the different parties to ensure their stay is smooth and everything goes according to plan.

You are pretty much a matchmaker as you help the fellow members of the houses to get kings, queens and ambassadors to meet and see what happens. And this is basically your main role in the game which is different from other visual novels approach to this type of management. If this sounds complicated then fear not as the game interface is laid out nice and simple so it is easy to manage the game and what you need to do to complete your duties.

You have a plan which has six activities and these are Tennis, Jousting, High Tea, Music Room, Falconry and Croquet. Then you pick two people from the houses and pair them up and see what happens. This is not always easy as each have likes and dislikes so finding matches takes some planning to make everyone happy. And of course the Queen of Hearts tells you that if you mess it up it is off with your head, which actually is an empty threat.

Also you need to take into account that the Queen wants every vote to go her way so she can stop war, continue magic and trading. So, with every other factor you encounter to make the correct decisions become complicated with each new day. Luckily Wonderland Nights: White Rabbit’s Diary don’t follow the usual time management formula that other Visual Novels do so this adds more replayability to make unlocking everything easier to make completing the achievements a joy.

Visually the game looks goods and the backdrops make for easy on the eyes. When you match people and you get the desired results this gives a huge feeling of accomplishment and you will want to continue on and try to get the next pairing spot on to get the events happening in your favour. If you approach it as more of a deduction game like the Ace Attorney franchise then you will enjoy this great title.

Final Thoughts

Wonderland Nights: White Rabbit’s Diary is a fun Visual Novel game. If you are a fan of them then this will peak your interest as it don’t follow the standard genre. The graphics are nice and fit the game and the gameplay is fun with lots of replayabilty in it.
