Save Room is a game with a simple goal of moving all the guns and other items from the right side of the screen to the left side storage. And it is as simple as that except you need to make sure that by the end of each stage all the guns are stored and your health is full. This does require a little work as you get bad stuff in the inventory as well as herbs you need to manage.
You eat the bad stuff, combine things like herbs to make healing stuff and eat the herbs so you can empty the inventory of everything other than guns and have fun health. You also have sardines that need to be stored with the guns and this is where things do turn fishy. The interface is simple to understand and pickup, and this is especially more familiar if you have ever played Resident Evil 4. You navigate with the d-pad and use the buttons to rotate the items to best fit the space.
There are 40 levels for you to play and the good thing about it is that the difficulty curve is steady and fun. Probably if you rushed through the game, you can finish all in say maybe hour and a half or so, but this is the type of game that you can just pick up and play if you got a spare 20 mins or so on a bus ride or at work on your lunch. This is where the charm and fun come from for this game.
The visuals are authentic looking from Resident Evil 4. They look clean and sharp do what they are suppose too. The puzzles are fun but there is not really any trickiness to them as the solutions are simple. The gameplay as I touch on above is short if you play it through in one session, but it could be fun as a boredom breaker. Crafting is the fun part in this game as it was in Resident Evil 4.
Final Thoughts
Save Room is a fun puzzle game that is based on the classic Resident Evil 4 inventory system. There is fun to have but being the style of gameplay then it is quite short. The guns, ammo and crafting is familiar to veteran players but the game does not offer any replayability. Good purchase for a quick fun game.
