Atlus today have released a new trailer for there upcoming Abyss Odyssey. Being described as a blend between a side-scrolling beat-em up and a rouge-like platformer, the game does look very interesting. While personally I am not a fan of rogue-style gameplay, I will admit that I am very interested in seeing how the two styles are blended together.
The above trailer is showing raw gameplay and is giving a glimpse as to what players can expect when they start their adventure in the abyss. With local and online co-op, treasure hunting, soul stealing, procedurally generated environments, fantastical enemies, challenge rooms, what more could you ask for. The game is out July 15, but check back as I should have a review up it soon.
